Pineapple Mango Green Smoothie ~

A fantastic way to add kale to your day! It's the 'green' part in what I call my, 'P-M-G Smoothie,' (short for Pineapple Mango Green) and it's Yum! Yum! Yum! This smoothie is loaded with tons of the good stuff including; Vitamins A, B6, C and K. It's also an excellent way to increase your daily amounts of fibre, folate and potassium. Enjoy it at breakfast as a great way to start your day off right, or as healthy midday snack.

Ingredients:

1 banana

1/2 cup each frozen mango chunks and fresh pineapple chunks*

1/2 cup chopped kale leaves (fresh or frozen)

2 cups water

1 Tbsp coconut oil (I like a heaping Tbsp)

1 Tbsp chia seeds

Directions:

Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Add a bit of ice if you like a colder green smoothie.

*I use fresh, organic pineapple however you could use canned pineapple chunks without the juice. (If you use the juice, add less water.)

TIP: For added protein, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
