Easy Peasy Slow Cooker Chicken ~

 

Unlike some slow cooker recipes, this Easy Peasy Slow Cooker Chicken requires very little prep. In fact, you won't even need 5 min to prepare the chicken to be cooked this way. Once cooked, you can enjoy the chicken as is, or use it other recipes. In our home, we often cook this on a Sunday for dinner, then use the leftover chicken for salads during the week. Even when you think you have no time to prepare dinner, you can easily prepare this!  

 

Ingredients:

 

1 yellow onion, chopped

1 whole chicken

Fresh ground pepper and Himalayan Pink Salt to taste

Directions:

 

Place chopped onion in the bottom of a large slow cooker.

Add the chicken on top the onions and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Cover and cook on HIGH for about 4 hours or on LOW for about 8 hours.

You'll know the chicken is done when it's golden brown on top and falling off the bone.

 

TIP:  You can baste the chicken periodically if you'd like, however this isn't necessary.
