Iced Lemon Green Tea ~
This cold green tea drink is incredibly refreshing, made with all-natural ingredients, including ginger and mint, and contains no refined sugar. The recipe makes a large batch which I find convenient because this cold tea is so delicious and favorite of mine of a hot summer day.
12 cups water
12 bags green tea
4 Tbsp grated ginger (peeled)
1 lemon (zest only)
6 Tbsp honey
3 sprigs of fresh mint
Squeeze of lime (optional)
In a large pot bring the water to a boil.
While waiting for the water to boil, prepare remaining ingredients.
Once water is boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags, ginger, lemon zest, honey, and mint.
Allow to steep for 10 minutes.
Strain all the ingredients and pour the tea in a large pitcher to cool.*
Serve with ice and a squeeze of fresh lime.
Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
*If using a glass pitcher, allow to cool in a pot before transferring to the pitcher.
