Playing Well ~

Playing is most often associated with children. In fact, most parents I know are very good at encouraging their children to play, yet never do themselves (BTW, I used to be one of those parents). The truth is that no matter what our age, we all require play in our life. Unfortunately, many of us adults have long forgotten how to play and don't realize how important it is.

Since implementing this healthy habit into my own life, I've learned that it's a vital component to living well. Our Small Things for the month of September, is to Play Well.

Playing provides us the opportunity to forget about our commitments and responsibilities. In doing so, it helps us to fill our well in so many ways, including bringing us joy and enhancing our emotional wellbeing, while releasing endorphins and reducing stress and depression. And these are only some of the benefits! There's more to come in an upcoming blog, stay tuned.....All month long I'll be sharing tips and valuable information that can help you Play Well.

Share your own tips by adding a comment to this post or by commenting on Facebook.

And don't forget to follow along on Instagram and Twitter, where you'll always find posts of what I'm doing and what inspires me. Also, sometimes we just need a little dose of inspiration to motivate us. 🙂

Finally remember, there is significant power in what we do, no matter how small.

Therefore, the truth is that no matter what our age, we all require play in our life. Unfortunately, many of us adults have long forgotten how to play and don't realize how important it is.
